The Concept

WHAT’S THE VISION FOR THIS SITE?

A Mixed-Use Community

We are taking a phased approach in order to transform a vacant site into a mixed-use community. We are in the early stages of planning for Phase 1 of the project (the northwest quadrant of the site). The future community will integrate residential, commercial, and institutional spaces with quality design and planning through subsequent phases.

Housing, Services, and Public Spaces

In Phase 1, known as the Meadows Neighbourhood District, we introduce a mixed-use community that includes new housing, primarily single-family homes and townhouses; new public services and amenities; and the integration of a new school and public park.

A Hub for Living, Learning, and Well-Being

As part of the overall plan for the community, we are proposing new elements such as a healthcare complex, an educational institution, various housing types, and commercial spaces, creating a place where people can live, work, and thrive.

Community Plazas, Parks, and Public Spaces

This development is designed to create welcoming public spaces, including green areas and a public park, to support community needs for socializing relaxation, and recreation. We’re proposing green open spaces throughout the site for the entire neighbourhood to enjoy.

The plan incorporated a significant amount of green space, serving as a vital extension of Bronte Creek Provincial Park to the east. Preserving natural features enhances residents’ quality of life by encouraging physical activity, supporting mental well-being and fostering a deeper connection to the environment, ultimately contributing to a healthier, happier community.

New Residential Areas

The Bronte Creek Meadows development aims to offer diverse housing options, with a range of unit types to meet different household needs, while enhancing the community through thoughtful design and integration.

These will range from low-rise to high- rise units, ensuring a variety of choices to meet the needs of the community. It will introduce new amenities green spaces, and streetscapes potentially benefiting local businesses by increasing foot traffic; while being respectful and compatible with the nearby existing neighbourhood.

New Healthcare Campus and Attainable Housing

The new healthcare and education complex, combined with attainable housing is a proposed facility within the community that may offer healthcare and educational services.

The complex/campus reflects a commitment to community well-being by provision inclusive housing options.

New Retail Spaces

We are in the early planning stages, with no decisions made on specific retail options, including a grocery store. As the project evolves, we will explore amenities that best serve the community.

Bronte Creek Meadows envisions a diverse mix of retail spaces to enhance the area. Community input is welcome as we shape a vibrant and convenient destination.
