We are taking a phased approach in order to transform a vacant site into a mixed-use community. We are in Phase 1 of the project. In this phase, we envision the future community will integrate residential, public, and commercial uses. The plans focus on quality design and planning that create a true mixed-use community, in both this and subsequent phases.
In Phase 1, we are proposing a variety of new housing, primarily single-family homes and townhouses; new public services and amenities, such as public parks; and a series of trails, connections, and roads—offering a variety of modes to connect with the surrounding community and subsequent phases.
As part of the overall plan, future residents can expect various housing types, and commercial spaces, creating a place where people can live, work, and grow.

Bronte Creek Meadows is designed to create welcoming public spaces that support a vibrant and healthy community. These spaces complement and serve as a vital extension of Bronte Creek Provincial Park to the east. Preserving natural features enhances residents’ quality of life by encouraging physical activity and supporting mental well-being.
Our plans include a series of public spaces that complement the area’s natural features. Starting with the Meadows Neighbourhood District and the Mainway Institutional District, these include public trails and a public park designed to support socializing, relaxation, and recreation, spaces for the entire neighbourhood to enjoy.

Bronte Creek Meadows aims to offer diverse housing options, with a range of unit types designed to meet different household needs while enhancing the community through thoughtful design and integration.
Beginning with the Meadows Neighbourhood District and the Mainway Institutional District, future residents will be able to choose from a variety of housing types, including single detached homes, townhouses, and multi-unit dwellings.
Future residents will help create an active streetscape that enhances local businesses and public space use, while the scale and feel of the proposed buildings remain respectful of and compatible with nearby existing neighbourhoods.

Bronte Creek Meadows is envisioned to have a diverse mix of retail, employment, and educational uses, to enhance how the future community lives, works, and grows.
We are proposing to include a new public school, as well as a community centre as part of the overall Bronte Creek Meadows plans. As planning continues, we welcome feedback on the retail and community amenities you would like to see in Bronte Creek Meadows.

We estimate that our vision for Phase 1 of Bronte Creek Meadows would generate $22 million in Development Charges for the City of Burlington, $58 million in Development Charges for Halton Region, and $10 million in education Development Charges for local school boards.
As part of Phase 1 of the overall Bronte Creek Meadows plans, we are looking to add:
Numbers are approximate and subject to change as the proposed concept plan is refined.
